Set of miniature pottery
The use of miniature pottery in neolithic society is a mystery. Some believe that this pottery was toys or made from children during the phase of learning the art of pottery.
This miniature pottery belongs to the Neolithic period 6.000 B.C.
They are replicas of a discovery in the Neolithic lake settlement of Dispilio, in Kastoria-Greece, made from clay originating from the same fields where the original was found to ensure the same “look and feel” as the actual piece. All paint decorations are also made replicating methods used by potters of the particular period.
Measurements: figurine:3cm h.
The set is installed on a black wooden base 12x5x2cm h.
Each micrographic pot is individually hand made, imperfections are to be expected and no two sculptures are alike and can never be reproduced to the exact same effect.
Shipped in presentation gift box.
Handmade in Kastoria (original discovery).
